From innovation to implementation
The innovations CORYS has presented over the last two years during customer events and international railway exhibitions are now in use.
After being developed using the Agile method involving customers close collaboration, TACTIS, the new graphical interface of the instructor station and SODA, Simulation On DemAnd were recently deployed successfully to the users’ satisfaction.
The TACTIS instructor station has been totally redesigned to be more intuitive and ergonomic, workable on screen or tablet. It is available on new simulators or during renovation. Among the new features, three major ones make the difference: the perspective view, the search function and the overview with easy navigation.
Virgin Train East Coast (VTEC), United Kingdom is already using TACTIS technology associated with their simulator desks. Operators will follow such as INCFA (Instituto Nacional Dos Caminhos de Ferro Angola), Pakistan Railways (Pakistan) and SSB Stuttgart (Germany).
Two rail operators have already ordered SODA, usable on tablet. This solution, in addition to existing simulators, proposes training scenarios to put into practice, to revise, to practice a task.
SODA is operational in VTEC's four training centers, with the aim of training on a new rolling stockwith a complex driving assistance system. In France, the SNCF will have SODA on a pilot site soon before a subsequent deployment in all training centers.
Jean-Marc David, CORYS Transport Vice President, explains:
"We are finding that innovation in partnership largely meets the expectations of our customers. We will continue this approach to offer simulators that are increasingly in line with the training needs of operators worldwide. "
