A light and innovative train simulator for Queensland Rail

After a delivery in 1999 followed by a long-term maintenance support, CORYS completed the renovation of Queensland Rail’s full-scope replica simulator, Australia, with a brand new cabin.

To cope with the low ceiling height of the Queensland Rail Training Centre, the cabin had to be lightened using an aluminium structure and had to be installed on a 6 dof motion system which is smaller than usual and can only support up to 1000kg.

The replica simulator installed in early 2017 is now operational. It can simulate five different train models with a display on five touch screens to ensure training efficiency. It also integrates the latest generation of visual database for realistic frontal and lateral views.
