Partnership with Marubeni Utility Services

Power | November 2017

CORYS Inc. and Marubeni Utility Services (MUS) signed an exclusive agreement which will bring CORYS simulation technology to Japan.

The agreement, signed recently in Jacksonville, Florida, comes after the successful completion of the first joint project, in which CORYS and MUS delivered a 3-loop PWR simulator with MELCOR severe accident models to a Japanese customer.  This simulator, based upon the CORYS THOR advanced thermal hydraulics models, will be used for training, engineering analysis, and human factors engineering.

Marubeni, established in 1858, is one of the oldest and largest trading companies in Japan, with over 40,000 employees in sectors including energy, transportation, aerospace, food and consumer products, and chemical and forest products.

Jody Ryan, Chief Commercial Officer at CORYS Inc. says

“The Japanese rail, nuclear and hydrocarbon industries are among the largest and most advanced in the world. Having an established and respected company like MUS as a partner will open up opportunities that were previously were not within our reach. We look forward to a long and successful partnership”.
