CrossCountry chooses the new ultra-light simulator
Introduced at SimTech 2019, this new ultra-light simulator consists of a curved 3D screen to reproduce the track and landscape, a 24-inch touch screen for the driver's station and two manipulators for essential controls.
CrossCountry, a British operator in central England, has therefore decided to acquire 4 units of this new type of CORYS simulator to expand its fleet of training tools in order to meet the growing need for training new drivers.
Marie Pezé said: "Based on the replica simulators we renovated for CrossCountry in 2018, these ultra-light simulators will train Class 220/221 rolling stock driving in rules and procedures with realism and simplicity. They will allow CrossCountry to significantly increase their training capacity."
