Renovation for training at REPSOL
As part of the migration of standard simulators of the 5 REPSOL refining sites in Spain, CORYS is carrying out the delivery to the Tarragona site in August 2018 following the delivery to the site of Petronor in January 2018. These simulators were first delivered by CORYS in 2008.
CORYS and CORYS Inc. are working together on the migration of a hydrocracking unit simulator under Indiss Plus©, on the update of the control system views and change of the hardware.
Apart from avoiding obsolescence, this renovation especially aims at being able to meet the increasing number of hours of annual training. Indeed, for the purpose of safety, the training on these renovated simulators will enable REPSOL to maintain the operators’ level of competence to handle abnormal situations they experience very rarely.
Guillaume Jalby, CORYS Account Manager said:"This renovation will bring more realism to the simulation, thanks to Indiss Plus©, a cutting-edge technology"
