Hitachi chooses CORYS for Abellio ScotRail

Hitachi Rail Limited has selected CORYS to supply its Abellio ScotRail Class 385 driver training simulators.

The contract includes a suite of state-of-the-art simulators comprising a Class 385 full cab Replica Simulator, an Ultra Light Simulator, and 5 Laptop Simulators. The simulators will be deployed for ScotRail driver training in 2022.

This is CORYS’ second contract with Hitachi Rail Limited after the award of their East Midlands Railway contract earlier this year.

We are delighted to further develop our relationship with Hitachi Rail Limited in the UK.

Amy Webb, Hitachi Head of Programme – Commuter commented

“We are pleased to have CORYS supporting us on another delivery of a simulator this time representing our Class 385 EMU’s which have been in service since 2018. We are confident this is going to make a positive addition to Scotrail and support with the continuous training of their fleet of drivers”.
