CORYS delivered a dedicated training week to DB Cargo NL, deepening the operator’s mastery of the Unreal Editor integrated into their freight simulation environment.
DB Cargo NL has been working with the Unreal Editor since 2025, following the delivery of a comprehensive simulation solution in summer 2025. That delivery included two VECTRON multifunction simulators covering cab operation, remote control, preparation post, ETCS/signalling and safety systems for the DE/NL/BE corridor, full 3D environments, and over 100 km of cross-border rail lines modelled in Unreal Engine.
Building on this foundation, the training week focused on equipping DB Cargo NL’s teams with the end-to-end production workflow needed to independently extend their simulation environment. Sessions covered the key steps for creating new rail lines within the editor, the full packaging process including line compilation and an in-depth module on ETCS signalling implementation directly within the Unreal Editor.
