Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska) has selected CORYS to set up a complete PWR training environment
A turnkey training room. CORYS supplies and installs the full package at the university:
- 4 independent simulator stations;
- a licence server, a video projector and a printer;
- four lifetime licences of the X-PWR (PWR-X1300) simulator, each running independently on its own station;
- full documentation: installation, user and maintenance manuals, standard training material and sample exercises;
- on-site installation by CORYS teams, followed by a 12-month software warranty.
An advanced simulator. The PWR-X1300 is based on a generic 4-loop 1300 MW PWR model. It covers normal operation, incidents and the main accidental scenarios, such as loss of coolant, main steam line break and steam generator tube rupture. It also lets users explore the I&C design in detail.
Training the trainers. The package includes a two-week “train the trainer” course at CORYS headquarters in Grenoble. It took place from 21 September to 2 October 2026 for university teachers. In the first week, they covered normal operations and the use of the instructor station. In the second week, they worked on incidents, accidents and safeguard systems. Each trainer built a complete exercise, covering technical content, pedagogy and simulator use, so they can now teach PWR operation and safety on their own.
With this project, CORYS extends its support to nuclear education and training in Poland. The university will use the room to train its students in PWR operation and safety.
