Less than 5 months after kick-off, CORYS completed the installation and the Site Acceptance Test for RATP Dev’s ultra-light train driving simulators from June 22 to 26 at the RATP training centre in Caen, marking the final milestone before driver training begins in early July.
The training room has been optimised to accommodate the full simulator suite: 10 ultra-light simulators, one instructor station and one scenario preparation station. The compact, flexible layout of the ultra-light simulators enabled efficient integration within the available space.
With the SAT successfully completed, RATP Dev’s team is already enriching the delivered training scenarios ahead of the first sessions. CORYS is providing support to ensure a smooth start, with dedicated assistance planned for the two weeks following site acceptance to support RATP Dev through its initial training operations.
The first driver training sessions are scheduled for early July, ahead of RATP Dev’s takeover of Normandy regional rail services in July 2027.
