New train, new simulator for Amtrak

The Alstom Nextgen Acela21 high-speed train replica simulator is operational at the US operator Amtrak’s training centre in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. Locomotive engineers training can begin even before the train goes to service in 2021.

This new full scope simulator replicates the North East Corridor with 400 miles in the latest generation computer generated images. It replaces the Acela replica simulator installed by CORYS more than 20 years ago.

Greg Hayes Business Development VP at CORYS Inc. USA said : “Amtrak is a long-time customer.  We are proud to provide them with a state-of-the-art simulator to help modernize and expand the quality of Amtrak’s services to millions of passengers”.
