CORYS has successfully installed and commissioned the Class 68 ETCS simulators for Direct Rail Services (DRS), marking a key milestone in the UK operator’s driver training programme.
DRS is one of the UK’s leading national rail freight operators, operating throughout Great Britain from a network of over 20 locations.
The swift commissioning was made possible by rigorous factory testing and validation carried out at CORYS facilities, ensuring the simulators were fully functional before delivery.
DRS’s training infrastructure now includes one replica simulator and eight Ultra-Light Simulators, supporting a blended learning approach and positioning the operator to be ready as ETCS goes live across its network.
