Simulation of OCTYS system validated by the RATP

An update of OCTYS, the Paris metro train control system will now be simulated on the RATP simulator fleet provided by CORYS.

The simulation of version 3 of the OCTYS system was accepted by the RATP. The deployment on all 15 compact and the full scope simulators is scheduled for early July.

This Communication Based Train Control system (CBTC) enables the management and  control of manually operated trains on several lines of the Paris Metro network. It includes ground based and on-board automation equipment.

Starting in July, the updated training simulators will be used by RATP to train their 600 drivers to this new signaling system.
