As part of the Electro’Mob project, CORYS took part in a French-British meeting in Hauts-de-France focused on skills development for the battery sector.
On 6 and 7 October 2026, the Hauts-de-France region hosted British partners to discuss a common challenge: how to prepare the workforce for careers in batteries and electromobility. The meeting was supported by the Electro’Mob project, the growth of the Battery Valley and the rollout of the national “Battery Skills” roadmap.
In the Douaisis area, the delegation visited battery pack assembly at Renault Group, the AFPI centre in Lambres-lez-Douai and the AESC France gigafactory. On this occasion, Jérémy Lemaire from CORYS presented our simulator for battery cell manufacturing processes.
Discussions centred on training practices for gigafactories in France and the UK. These processes are complex, and training is a bottleneck for the sector’s ramp-up. Dynamic simulation addresses this directly: operators can train safely without taking production lines out of service.
CORYS thanks Electro’Mob for the invitation, and looks forward to the cooperation opportunities identified around battery and electromobility skills.
