As part of the extension of the operational lifetime of its Tihange and Doel nuclear power plants, Engie Electrabel has awarded CORYS a contract to upgrade their simulators to version 8 of the ALICES platform.
This technological upgrade aims to ensure the long-term sustainability, performance, and maintainability of the simulators. By adopting ALICES V8, Engie Electrabel will benefit from a more powerful, secure environment that complies with the latest training and operational standards.
The full scope simulators at Tihange and Doel are critical tools for the ongoing training of operators and the validation of operational procedures. This upgrade will guarantee their availability and compliance with the future requirements of the Belgian nuclear fleet.
