Digital twins and VR for new reactors

The aim of the ICAREx is to build a virtual reality digital twin for new nuclear reactors right from the design stage.

CORYS will be taking part in the project in a consortium with EDF, Human Design Group, and Theoris.

The digital twin allows basic reactor operating scenarios to be tested and validated, including human factors in the process, thus providing the nuclear industry with an additional resource to secure major projects.

ICAREx will receive support from the French government’s post-Covid stimulus plan.
