Hynamics, EDF Power Solutions, and CORYS Join Forces to Revolutionize Hydrogen Process Simulation
Hynamics, a subsidiary of the EDF Group dedicated to low-carbon hydrogen production, EDF Power Solutions, which leads international renewable hydrogen and derivatives projects, and CORYS have announced an ambitious partnership to develop hydrogen process simulators. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the innovation and technological advancement of electrolyzers, which are key components of the hydrogen production chain.
As part of this agreement, Hynamics and EDF Power Solutions will develop an engineering simulator for alkaline electrolyzer systems using CORYS’s INDISS PLUS® simulation platform. This tool will enable precise modelling of system performance, dynamic behaviour, and process interactions across a variety of operational environments, opening new perspectives for the optimization of industrial processes.
In parallel, CORYS will develop a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer simulator, with technical and operational support from Hynamics. This simulator will address growing needs for training, engineering validation, and operational optimization, thereby enhancing the safety and efficiency of hydrogen technologies.
This dual development highlights the complementary expertise of the three partners and their shared commitment to the energy transition. By combining Hynamics’ process expertise, the specific characteristics of EDF Power Solutions’ projects involving intermittent renewable energy production, and CORYS’s simulation know-how, the partnership will strengthen the performance, safety, and reliability of low-carbon hydrogen facilities.
